[The text showed up in the journals around dawn, in the style of a wanted ad in the newspaper-- if Luceti had a newspaper. The letters were straight and friendly. The message was concise:]
PING PONG TABLE SEEKS HOME
PUBLIC ACCESS REQUIRED
REPLY FOR DETAILS
[That was all Cliff needed to do. He had spent the last month or so just toying with it as a side project, taking his time with the plans, materials, and other details of the table. He found proper measurements for everything and made sure that it was up to professional standards.
Anyone who dares to tell him that ping pong isn't a sport is liable to get payback for the suggestion. Somehow.
Cliff took off for the day after the announcement, after scribbling out a quick note for Fayt that he was headed out. Luceti was relatively safe, but he preferred to keep his people informed of what he was doing. His first stop is Seventh Heaven to grab a bite to eat, since the man can't cook for the life of him. There's a reason he's banned from the kitchen, after all. Throughout the day afterward he can be found in various parts of the plaza, gathering supplies for what looks like a trip to the Beach. With the weather getting warmer, he saw no reason to not take advantage of what the sea had to offer. Diving under to see the fish was always fun, after all.
Feel free to catch him anywhere. Talk to him, harrass him, prank him, join him. Anything goes.]

Hi! I'm Prim, and I'll be taking care of you today. Do you know what you'd like to get, or do you need a bit? And can I get you something to drink...?
[ She has this waitressing thing down cold by now, okay. ]
action;
Just coffee, please. And do you have any eggs back there?
[He had to ask. Breakfast wasn't a normal thing to him by any stretch. Before dropping into Luceti, he never really had the chance to sit down for a formal breakfast like this.
It was a nice change of pace.]
action;
Sure thing. How do you want the coffee? Black? And we have eggs, yes. The chefs can do just about anything with them, as far as I can tell. I think it's because everyone has such different backgrounds - between the lot of us, we've got a wide mix of cuisines, you know?
action;
...yanno, I heard someone once say that the best way to get to know someone is to share a meal with them. Food really can tell you alot about a person.

Nooope. I don't think I want a towel that's talking to me. It's not early enough gor that.

[Souji seemed entirely nonplussed about having the towel put back to obstruct his view and talked to Cliff over the aisle.]

Let me know if anyone got the ping pong table. Since my place doesn't have the space for it.

Hello, Cliff-san.
[Action]
[Surprise, surprise. Her presence on the beach as she was had him second guessing his earlier hunch. Maybe this wasn't a Shift after all, but a situation where someone went back to their world and returned later on with new experiences and viewpoints. Thus was life in Luceti.
Cliff smiled and sat down next to her, not bothering to ask but leaving her plenty of space to have for herself.]
It's been quiet lately. How've yoou been?
[Action]
[Rei silently slides a bookmark into the book and snaps it shut.]
It's been quiet since the possession. Which I see left you alright.

Good morning, sir. How are you liking your food today?
action.
It's as good as always. Could you give my compliments to the chef?
action.
I open up the restaurant and am usually the only chef for the first shift.

[action] forever late!
It's been a long while since he's seen the guy, but he's gotten to know Fayt -- and this other guy was clearly an acquaintance from their wor-- universe.]
You look like a dude on a mission.
[action] It's never late!
Eh. Does going to the beach count as a mission?
[He held up his goggles, making it clear that he wasn't just planning on being lazy while he was there.]
[action]
Sure, if the objective is to take advantage of the season. Have you been out there yet?
