[Lupin III doesn't know what's going on in the village...nor does he think he wants to know. Luceti is mad even on a good day, but this? It was well outside the scope of the New Feather cycle...but the crowd oddly reminded him of home. He went about his business that day like normal: drop by Seventh Heaven for breakfast, swing by the barracks to harrass Smoker, bum around the library (in the food and drink section, interestingly,) and drop by the space that used to be Cloud Nine.
He's friendly and in his element with the crowd. Just beware that he has a consealed weapon.
Cliff Fittir, still a New Feather himself, is interested in the entire affair-- but for reasons that he was going to keep to himself. There was still a possibiiity that he could run into some of his friends from home, and he planned to sieze every opportunity to either find them or find out some information. He wouldn't admit it openly, but he was concerned for their safety.
He'll be cooling his heels in various places around the village in a bomber jacket that he managed to find in his size, asking questions and offering directions as they come about. Evenings will find him in Good Spirits knocking back a few cold ones. Just be warned: he's liable to rant in annoyance at any mention of the cold, and he's quite a big man that isn't afraid to start (or end) a fight.]

[But he hesitantly keeps going. Then again... if there's someone Marco, of all people, doesn't trust, then they'd have to be incredibly dangerous. Enough to give Ace reason for hesitation. The phoenix already got annoyed with Ace being so rash already.] You give him the courtesy or the other way around?
[It's important. Someone with the instincts to stay clear of Marco was probably smart, but someone Marco steered clear of? That was a threat.]

I like to think that it goes both ways...?

Duly noted, matey. So what's this place like? Any fun?
no subject
You mean generally or for me personally? It's a little wacky sometimes, but a lot of people like it enough.
For me? There's not enough road, sky, or sea for me to have much fun.

Wacky?
[Okay, the last part gets a grin out of him.] Heh. I know how that is. [He could traverse the whole world and it wouldn't really be enough room.]

[Grin.]
Yeah. Wacky. The guys who run this place like to use us as lab rats and their own private army. Sometimes its interesting; other times...well. Hell might be better than here.

Whoa.... what? What kind of experiments? Worse than torture? [Hell = Impel Down = torture.]
If you're a private army, why not just leave?
