005 [Audio/Action]

Yo. Everyone.

[It was midday that he addressed the village as a whole, without any lead-in or hint of apology in his tone for being so goddamn casual.]

I'm lookin' for a friend of mine. He's got long hair and has a pet pig-- lemme know if you see him.

[Action]

[It was training, Souji had been insisting for the last few weeks when he set an enraged, squealing Saizou upon him without any warning. Speed training for a little game between the two of them that they both had a stake in. And, finally-- after many days of running from the grumpy little pig-- the game was on.

Cliff had 24 hours to catch Souji. Truth be told, he had no idea what the little prankster was up to.

He'll be anywhere and everywhere around town that day, searching every corner and under every table for any hint of that teasing smile...all the while remaining on high alert for anything that would attempt to dive-bomb him.]

So you say and yet you took a keen interest in Cliff-san for some reason. Is it just because I teased him so often or was it something else?

You two were a special, one time case. Gotta look out for my friends, you know? Besides, seeing you guys dance around each other was downright painful sometimes.

Painful, was it? I didn't realize it was so obvious or pain-inducing. [Except for him, of course, but that's in the past now.]

Really obvious. Trust me on this.

I guess I'll have to work more on my air of mystery~ or else I won't be much good at stealth anymore.

Does that really have anything to do with stealth?

If you could guess what we were thinking? Yes. I prefer not to be such an open book.

[Guess it made sense...]

At least it worked out in the end, didn't it?

[Souji smiled at Fayt for a moment and then leaned back, going back to his paper folding.]

We'll see.

For now I just need to wait another hour or so and I win.

An hour huh? [He ponders a moment, contemplating, before nodding to himself and making to stand.] I should probably get ready to go then. No matter how this turns out, this should be something you guys should discuss yourselves.

[Souji rose from the sofa as well, smiling.]

I'm sure it won't take us long to discuss if we do end up discussing it. I have at least some idea of what is going on - and he's a straightforward man. Plus he has to do whatever I say, so he really doesn't have a choice.

I might stay over at Aleos' regardless. [A shrug. Aleos still worried Fayt a little, really.] But leave me a message if you guys finish up early though, alright? And if you have more questions you wanna run by me, after.

[Aleos is a name Souji has heard, but he doesn't know the boy well - someone to investigate later then.]

I'll be sure to come by and tap on the door to let you know when I leave, how about that? Where will you be?

That works, too. [Fayt stretches a little, glancing towards his room. He should probably grab a few things... His journal at least.] Aleos' apartment is the first room on the first floor, so I'll be just downstairs.

Then when we finish here, I'll knock on the door to let you know. [And maybe catch a glimpse of this Aleos that Fayt often mentions.]

He must be a good friend to let you visit so suddenly.

He's a bit on the shy side, but he's a good kid. [Really, Aleos was just the kind of guy who made you want to look out for him a bit.]

Why not bring him by for dinner sometime then? If he's shy, he might benefit from having a "family" dinner with other people.

Dinner....? [Hmm... the problem would be convincing him to come...]

I'll see if he'd be interested. He really does need more people to be around.

[Souji clapped his hands together happily and smiled at Fayt.]

Bring your friend along whenever you can get him out of his house and I'll be sure to set another plate out.
