[Souji comes back finally, with a tray of tea and one mug cup of warmed milk with honey.]

It is rather nice. It's much what I had hoped peace to be like.

[With a smile he hands the mug cup to Kohaku and a cup of Japanese tea to Cliff.]

[Oh, Kohaku knows about the bad side of things here very well. But she likes to look to the positive side.]

Oh yeah, you said your world wasn't very peaceful, right?

[Yes, she remembers. She'll gladly take her cup, and blow on it a few times before drinking it.]

[Cliff gingerly accepted the cup of tea himself, and examined it thoughtfully as he listened to Souji and Kohaku in turn.]

Gimme a world that is and I'll give ya a giant bunny. [He said it without cruelty, but his disbelief in such a concept was clear.] Honestly, this is the most downtime I've had in years. It ain't a bad thing.

Why would you have a giant bunny? Is it a hobby?

[Because if Cliff had a giant bunny, then Souji wanted it so his giant stuffed animal panda would have a friend. He set the tray down and picked up his teacup.]

And yes, Kohaku-chan, my world was at war. From what I've heard, it shouldn't last much longer, so it isn't anything to worry over.

[Except for the part where he and everyone he knew died, but he was going to keep that a secret from her as long as he possibly could.]

[Kohaku would love a giant bunny!]

That's good, being in a war sounds horrible...but my world is peaceful. I can't say anything about Heaven or Hell, but where I am, it's calm.

[Things can only go bad when a demon comes around, but she hasn't been picked on for quite a while now.]

They're popular back home. I think. [He shot Souji a pointed look. Did he really look like a man who'd have a plushie collection?]

I'd get one by doing some work for the guys who run these facilities. I owe a guy 10 fol anyway, so why not?

[He huffed in amusement. Making bets with disgruntled princes and talking about bunnies with angels. what was his life becoming?]

...Gotta say, Kohaku. I'm a little jealous. Disagreements can be fixed without a problem if everyone kept their heads. Unfortunately, that doesn't often happen.

I think that means you owe Kohaku-chan a giant bunny. [He gave Cliff a look right back - one that said, "this is revenge for calling me a moron" and painted with far too much amusement. He doesn't necessarily agree that everything can be talked out, but disagreeing here would only seed discontent and he'd rather avoid that. There was no sense in arguing an old warrior's philosophy among those more enlightened than he.]

It would be nice, wouldn't it? Perhaps one day, people will realize what both of you know so well.

[That makes Kohaku laugh a bit.] I don't think I need a giant bunny. [She would like one of course, since she likes cute things. But she wouldn't make someone get her one, because he sounded a bit sarcastic when he said it.]

It would. It's not good if you're afraid or unhappy in your world.

Nah. You'll get the bunny. [He didn't mind making good on his bets, and he would find a way to get Souji back for that. Somehow.] It's something nice we can do here, anyway. It's not easy for me to do back home either 'cause, unfortunately, people are always gonna argue. It's just the way things work.

[Awesome, Kohaku gets a giant bunny. Now Souji's giant panda has a friend.

Souji smiled at Kohaku and Cliff both over the edge of his teacup, amused at how this conversation was going.]

It doesn't always have to be though - the arguing. One day hopefully, people will learn to move past it.

[Well, Kohaku can't complain about getting a giant bunny, so all she can do is smile.]

...What's there to argue about all the time?

People just don't always get along is all. This place is much smaller than back home, though. So, it should definitely be nicer.

[Much. Not always, but usually. He takes a sip of his tea and recalls the draft and the carnage he witnessed there.]

In my language we have a saying, "Ten people, ten colours." Ten people may see the same problem and come out with ten different solutions; each thinking theirs is the only right answer.

Thankfully people here are bit more open-minded, as Cliff-san says.

So then it must be kind of strange that my world doesn't have any problems.

Who knows how many worlds are out there? It might be more common than we think.

Just...count yourself lucky. Not everyone gets that.

[He smiled and set his teacup down on the coffee table.]

And~ I should be going to work now. Cliff-san, please feel free to stay here as long as you like. Kohaku-chan? Do you need anything before I go?

No, I don't think so. [She has milk and honey, so she's perfectly happy.] Be careful.

Yea, take care of yourself. [In more ways than one. Cliff had an idea about what was going on here.] We'll keep the place in tip-top shape, and your little Saizou here might even have a change of heart by the time you get back.

[He laughed.] I'll be back in the morning after training Sokka-kun like always.

[Only he won't because they come to get him on the way back from practice.]

I do hope so, Cliff-san. He rather likes Kohaku-chan, but he's still so grumpy with everyone else.

Alright.

Yes, I can show you some things that he likes! [She kind of cheats with all animals...they just tend to like her.]

See ya, then. And don't worry. Your kids'll be in good hands.

Anything you can do will help a ton, Kohaku. What do you say we start now?

I trust them to both of you, knowing they will be. I'll see you in the morning, Kohaku-chan, Cliff-san. [He smiles, glad to see they're getting along and bows, heading out for the day.]

[She'll wave then look over to Cliff.] Do you know where Saizou is?

[He glanced down at her, suddenly uneasy.]

No. I lost track of him.

[He had a hunch...]

He might be in one of the rooms then.

[Give her a minute to bolt off, and look in the rooms. Soon she'll be walking back with a happy pig in her arms, though she comes back confused...she doesn't know how to make them friends...she only knows what Saizou likes.]
