You're not? [Cliff's reaction was not reassuring to the little boy. He stares down at the blond, worry creeping up, small fingers gripping the blankets tighter. Something was wrong....]

Where am I?

[Oh, geeze...]

You're in a safe place, [He said, gently pushing the boy aside so that he could sit up.] Your mom and dad aren't here right now, so they asked me to take care of you for a while. They were...uh, kinda in a hurry too.

[He scratched his head. Hopefully that explanation would suffice for Fayt this time.]

[Fayt grips the blankets still as he's moved, but that grip loosens at the explanation. His parents needing to leave in a hurry for one reason or another wasn't uncommon, so the story is quite believable to the little boy.]

Work again? [He seems to pout a little at that. They could have woken him up to tell him....]
