Shut up. [That growl was mostly aimed at Cliff.] You very well know the only way to kill those things was to relieve them of their heads. Decapitation is not exactly clean.

[Fayt personally didn't see anything wrong with it as he settles into his seat. It wasn't exactly a formal meal. Take what you want, eat what you want.]

The shift hunters? Yeah, they're messy to deal with.... but I didn't come out of the draft on terrace painted head to toe in blood after dealing with them, either.

[Fine, he'll get his own meal; he pushed himself up, going for the food and not sitting down again until he had a full bowl and three sandwiches.]

[Grinning at the exchange, Cliff plopped himself into an adjacent chair and eagerly helped himself to some of those sandwiches. Soup would come later-- for the moment, he was starved.]

Whatev. Dead shift hunters are still dead, and the job's still done. It could'a been a little cleaner...but, all things considered, I'm more glad that no one got hurt.

Same here. [He glances at them both over a grilled cheese sandwich he's taken to dipping in his soup, once again checking for injuries now that they were clean of blood, mud and who knew what.] So neither of you need any healing?

[Albel was wearing more than usual... hiding the cuts on his arms and stomach and legs. No need for the house wife side of Fayt to kick in; he wasn't in the mood for it just now. Right now? The sandwich and soup he was stuffing into his face was more important.]

[Cliff happily dug into his food, clearly not terribly bothered by the series of cuts and abrasions on his shoulders and upper arms. Worse wounds were to be had, and a hot meal was more important than wasting a healing symbol on some minor injuries.]

[Nothing immediate, huh....? He takes another bite of his sandwich as he eyeballs them both, before shrugging.] Works for me. But tell me if they get annoying, alright?

[Albel gave him a dull look.]

[Cliff snorted, annoyed by the snide commentary.]

Just shaddup and eat your food, Albel. Don't say things if you can't be nice to a guy who's offering to help.

Hey if you're going to be that stubborn, I have my ways. [Like dragging him to the hospital for Law to deal with. Or breaking into his rooms with a well placed sidekick.

Sometimes, Albel was predictable.]

[Albel just gave them both a look; they already knew the lengths he was willing to go just out of sheer stubbornness.]

[Happy about having Albel listen to his suggestion for once, Cliff happily took another bite of his toasted ham and cheese sandwich and enjoyed the silence for a breath. After two weeks, the man had finally shut up!]

I think we'll be good, [Cliff said between bites, after he was sure that Albel was completely satisfied in his grudging response.] But, I'll let you know if there's any problem. Shouldn't be too bad.
