[Speaking of vacations... Fayt shifts in his seat, reaching over to trace a healing symbol in the air, the energy scattering after a moment and sinking into Cliff's skin. It's not much, as is usual for Fayt, but it might sooth the aches and any bruises a bit.]

...I just hope it won't take another incident for me to access it. [An admittance. If it was like Cliff said it was, he didn't know how to provoke it without a lot of risk involved.]

Vegeta suggested that-- I said no, then he decided that I should meet a wall.

[Repeatedly. And then some. He was grateful for the healing symbol, even if it wasn't much compared to something from Sophia.]

...But, I don't think he will. I, uh, kinda understand a few things a little better now, and I think he's figured it the entire time.

[About his being a papa, that is. It was still a strange thing for him to think of.]

He suggested it? Wow.

[At least it sounded like he'd given up on the idea.]

Those jokes that Souji and I play with. Some of that just kinda clicked into place because of what happened in the summer. I should'a seen some of it before, but.

[Fayt raises an eyebrow, perhaps getting a slightly different idea compared to what Cliff is saying.]

Cliff huffed in petty irritation.]

[A pause as he raises an eyebrow at Cliff. He has a feeling he knows what Cliff means and his tone is a bit amused, a tiny grin coming to his face.]

Pretty sure just about everyone knew you treated her like a daughter, if that's what you're getting at.

[He groaned and buried his face in his hands.]

And I thought I was on top of the scuttlebutt, man. That's worse than Leiber's annoying crush on Maria. A good man, but...no. Maria'll decide whatever she wants, thanks. I don't think she'd want anyone so damn insistent--

[He cut himself off and glanced at Fayt.]

Damn. That obvious?

Liber is pretty obvious too, you know. [He shrugs. Didn't help Leiber kept eyeing him like he was competition from the very second he stepped on the Diplo. That was a bit unnerving, to say the least.

A part of his was tempted to reach over and pat Cliff's shoulder. Almost.]

But yeah, you were that obvious. Pretty sure everyone on the Diplo knew it.

[There was that look of haughty, nigh intimidating superiority that he adopted in moments like these.

Unfortunately, it didn't work so well when he was laying in the cushions, still sore from his latest brawl.]

[Cliff sighed, knowing a loss when he saw one.]

Yeah, and I bet you're enjoying the hell out of watching it all, huh?

[Cheerfully said.

Aaah. Whatev.

[Shaking his head, Cliff stiffly pulled himself out of the sofa. Yeah, there was no doubt that he'd be feeling that beating in the morning...]

Think whatever you want. I'm off to take that shower.

Yeah, you look dead on your feet right now.

[He scoops back up his book, making to stand from the couch as well. He'd probably turn in early.. he had a lot to think about.] I think I'm going to bed early.

Hah. You and me both. It's been a weird day.

[He'd probably sleep all night and late into the next day too. Man, whoever said that sleep wasn't a legit hobby was dead wrong.]

See you tomorrow then.

[With a nod, Fayt makes his way to his room to.... well.

Not sleep immediately. He stays up a while, thinking over everything Cliff had told him and his options, even making a few notes in a notebook he's taken to keeping. He stays up a little late because of it all, and sleeps in a bit the next day.

It's probably why he's up long enough to remember something he'd forgotten to do last night. Whenever Cliff does wake up tomorrow, he'll find a gift at his door.]
