[He didn't recognize the man visually-- not like he was at the moment. The red hair was new (and Cliff swore that Vegeta's hair normally turned gold when he did his Saiyan thing), as was the tail, but the voice and attitude were as plain as day.
Even with his (slightly) greater height, Vegeta was still far shorter than Cliff.
The Klausian was wearing a tank top and jeans, his now-shaggy blond hair was tied back into a messy tail, and he wore a plain patch over his bad eye just to cut out the distractions....but, that grin he had on his face should have been all too familiar.]
I want you to keep your head up!
[He said, calling up his ki in his hand like he had just a few moments before. Focusing it into a beam was hard, but the frustrations from the last several weeks had given him a way to make time and focus. He had found a certain clariy in those moments-- and, he thought he could see a few of the pieces he was missing in his own training, including a few that had made mastering all of his teacher's techniques nigh impossible for years.
It just took clarity, and not getting washed away in the flood.
After a moment he fired-- and, for once, it wasn't so much that he was hurling a mass of energy but condencing it into a beam--
Right at Vegeta.
Don't worry. It's not that strong yet. The Saiyan would probably laugh at it.]
